A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT ! 
Special shoutout to Eli Yelton, our school resource officer (SRO), who taught 5th grade students using the S.T.A.R. Program (Sheriff's Teaching Abuse Resistance). As a culminating activity, students enjoyed ice cream, a game of dodgeball and tag football with Sheriff Ellenburg, SRO Holtsclaw and SRO Yelton. Thank you, Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office for shaping a happier and healthier future for our community! 
While at Sunshine, Sheriff Ellenburg explained the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness and shared the reason for his pink wrapped car. He also asked our data manager, Sarah Clark to sign his car in honor of her journey. We're so thankful Ms. Sarah is now cancer free!
