STEM Night is part of Rutherford County Schools, NC's Project Kindergarten - a host of fun events to kick off 2018-19 kindergarten registration and invite pre-k families to join in our excitement for kindergarten registration!

Join Sunshine Elementary students, families, faculty and staff for a night filled with exciting STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities! This is your chance to have some hands on fun, tour the school, meet teachers and interact with current RCSNC families.
Who's invited? Families with pre-k children (5 and under). Whether you're enrolling children this year or not (and whether you live in Sunshine district or not), join us!
The 'main' event for Project Kindergarten - Kinder-Palooza - will feature face painting, technology activities (think iPads and green screens), magic school bus rides, school mascots and more! All RCSNC schools, the Robert and Janice McNair Educational Foundation, Forest City, NC, and the Rutherford County Schools Education Foundation will be present and ready for tons of fun at Kinder-Palooza!
Can't make it to Kinder-Palooza or STEM Night? The fun will continue as EACH elementary school is inviting pre-k children and their families to join in an after school event to see what it's like to be part of the RCSNC family! Events range from STEM Night to Math Super Bowl to BINGO for BOOKS and will be a chance for families of pre-k children to take tours, meet teachers, and check out the great things RCSNC students are doing daily! These events are open to all - whether you live in the school's district or not - so visit as many schools as you'd like! For the full event list, visit: www.rcsnc.org/kindergarten.
